Human and Horse Fun Run – A 25 km route with 650m vert.
Both routes start and finish at

Entry Fees
40km
- Early Bird – $160 (until December 5)
- Standard – $180 (from December 5 till February 13)
- Late – $210 (from February 14)

Aid Stations
- Eweburn Dam – 10km
- High Top – 15km
- Derelict Building (vet check for horses) – 20km
- Little Mt Ida Rd – 33km (40km only)
Aid stations will have water, Tailwind Nutrition, crisps, lollies and bananas.
There will be no cups at aid stations.
Cut off times
- Derelict Building (20k) – 2:00pm
- Mt Ida Station Gate (26km) – 2:45pm (40km only)
- Mt Ida Rd Aid Station (33.5km) – 4pm (40km only)
- Finish – 5pm
Timetable
Saturday
- 8:30am – Registration at Wedderburn Woolshed
- 9:45am – Briefing
- 10:00am – All runners start
- 10:15am – All horses start
- 5pm – Final cut off time and ongoing celebration at Wedderburn Tavern:
- 6pm – Prize-giving
- 6:30pm – Buffet dinner and entertainment (tickets $40 per person available on registration).
- 8pm – Auction, live band and dancing!
Prizes
- Each finisher will receive an Only Fools and Horses finisher’s rosette.
- Jackpot Prize Pool for 40km only – There will be a jackpot prize for the first man and first woman who can beat all the horses ($500 each). This cash prize will build into the prize pool each year that it is not won. eg, if a woman wins in 2025 she gets $500. If no man wins for 4 years until 2028 it will increase every year by $500 so he, the 2028 winner, will receive $2000!
- 2027 jackpot for first man or first woman that beats all the horses is $1500.
Recommended Gear
- Small day backpack.
- Rain jacket – should be seam-sealed waterproof.
- Merino or thermal long sleeve top.
- Long thermal tights or trousers (compression leggings are not acceptable). Poly-prop or merino are the norm.
- Warm beanie or buff. (Multifunctional head-wear).
- Warm gloves.
- Survival blanket/bag.
- Sun cream.
- Sun hat.
- Your own snacks, energy bars, Tailwind Nutrition etc.
- Water bottles/bladders – enough to carry at least 1 litre of water (there will be no cups available at water stations).
- Whistle.
- A charged cell phone
Safety
- Please make sure you bring all recommended gear to the event. Depending on conditions you could be required to have this with you to start the race.
- Keep left unless passing (normal road rules apply).
- Runners to keep away from the horses hind area. At least 2m away from the back legs – they kick!
- Take care when passing! Alway communicate to the rider when you are approaching from behind and wait for room to pass.
- Runners to step out of the way, to the left, when horses passing.
- No headphones of any type – if you wear headphones you will get run over by a horse.
- No poles allowed.
- If you pull out for any reason you must report to officials at the finish line.
- If you can’t start the race on the day please let officials know.
- Race numbers are to be visible at all checkpoints.
- Cut off times will be enforced.
- If you come across another competitor in trouble help them out and get help from next marshal/aid station.
- You are responsible for your own safety.
- The course will be well marked but please be familiar with the race map. Please be familiar with the course description information.
- Always listen to the advice of marshals. They are there for your safety. They are wonderful people who have volunteered their time for your pain and pleasure, and we couldn’t put on events like these without them.
- Please don’t drop any rubbish and if you see any that may have been dropped by another runner please pick it up.
- Strictly no dogs allowed.
After the Race
This race isn’t just about competing. It’s also about enjoying diverse communities coming together, sharing an experience, and talking about it. The best way to talk about it is over food and drinks!
A BBQ will be available at the start/finish area at the woolshed ($10).
After prize-giving there will be a Buffet Dinner available. This will be a delicious meal using local produce followed by live entertainment (auction, live band and dancing). It’s a great way to come together to share stories and make a great day last longer. Create better memories together!
Bookings are required for the Buffet Dinner ($40 per person). Book on the registration platform for yourself and as many family members and friends as you like. Get in early. Spaces are limited.
Prize-giving, dinner and live entertainment will be held in the Wedderburn Tavern marquee.
