The Race
Simple…
Runners race against horses!
- Runners capped at 200.
- Horses (with riders) capped at 60.
40k Human vs Horse race
Humans start off 15 minutes early. Then horses start. Run the same route.
Final race time is the time between the start and finish for each species.
So if a human finishes first, they have to wait 15 minutes to know if they have actually won!
There is a vet check at the halfway point. The vet check time is included in the race time. The fitter the horse, the quicker the vet check!
There is another vet check after the finish. Horses must pass this vet check or be disqualified.
25k Human and Horse Fun Run
Humans start off 15 minutes early. Then horses start. Run the same route.
There is a vet check after the finish. Horses must pass this vet check or be disqualified.
After the Race
This race isn’t just about competing. It’s also about enjoying diverse communities coming together, sharing an experience, and talking about it. The best way to talk about it is over food and drinks!
After prize-giving there will be a Buffet Dinner available. This will be a delicious meal using local produce followed by live entertainment (auction, live band and dancing). It’s a great way to come together to share stories and make a great day last longer. Create better memories together!
Bookings are required for the Buffet Dinner ($40 per person). Book on the registration platform for yourself and as many family members and friends as you like. Get in early. Spaces are limited.
Prize-giving, dinner and live entertainment will be held in the Wedderburn Tavern marquee.
